Transitioning to GDScript 2.0 - Guides release!
New Guides are out!
If you download the latest folder for course materials the whole chapter on making the transition to GDScript 2.0 is out! Covering the sweet new tools in Godot 4. Not to mention the lovely new way signals are handled, which caused a fair stir when I shared it this week:
A few clarifying points about the latest guides:
- I encountered issues with syntax highlighting GDScript 2.0 - This isn't publicly supported anywhere so I will need to work on my own tool for improving the syntax highlighting in my documents.
- I encountered other issues with my guide production scripts, so there are no PDFs for the latest batch - only HTML files. PDFs will return once I've finished improving my scripts.
For next week expect more guides for the what's new in Godot section as well as a new demo on the Tween rework c:
See you next time!
