Godot 4's First Release Candidate!
Release Candidate 1.0!
Godot 4 is out of Beta and officially in its first Release Candidate! This means all the development focus is on bug fixes for this version over the next few weeks until it is ready for Godot 4 to officially release!

Thankfully the stability of the recent Godot versions means over just a couple of hours the course now supports Release Candidate 1! Which you can download here: https://downloads.tuxfamily.org/godotengine/4.0/rc1/
Course improvements
Over the last couple of weeks, I have been hard at work on some improvements to the card game side of the course which also make their way into this build:
- Cards can now have multiple abilities and grow to tremendous strength.
- Battles have a victory screen with rewards.
- The deck viewer has its own new dedicated menu.
- You can opt into a new game plus mode on defeating the final boss.
- More and snappier animations.
- A new keyword ability called “massive”, that can deal damage through blockers.
What's next?
With this release candidate we are awfully close to Godot 4’s actual release, which means a lot of work from me to rewrite the beta focused documents, and I also want to finish making a 3D platformer portion of the guide as a first order of business.
Now I have lots of writing and video content to focus on - but enjoy the release candidate and see you in the next one!
